New Delhi . Under the Positive Bharat Jan Andolan, participants were sworn in a virtual webinar to remove plastic pollution at the RJS National Webinar organized by Ram Janaki Sansthan RJS and TJAPS KBSK Guntageri (Dhanikhali) West Bengal on 15 March - World Consumer Rights Day.
The theme of the day this year is to TACKLING PLASTIC POLLUTION.
On this occasion, Chief Guest Consumer Online Foundation's Founder Trustee, Consumer Policy Expert Bijon Mishra, said that the government's legislation to prevent plastic pollution can be implemented by consumer solidarity.
He said that we need development that does not harm the environment.
Production of polluting plastics and preventing it from coming into the market has to be done by public only. For this, consumers have to be aware and united.
He also referred to the Consumer Friendly States Awards 2021. A monthly consumer magazine, Aware Consumer, together with the Consumer Online Foundation and young legal professionals, has prepared a detailed study report and presentation on the occasion for the 6th edition. The CFS Award 2021 on World Consumer Rights Day 2021 is a way of duly recognizing states / UTs that are bringing changes at the grassroots level for the welfare of their consumers.
The CFS Awards Consumer Friendly State Award 2021 were announced by Professor Bijan Mishra on the RJS Positive Media platform. He said that in the category of states, Karnataka was first Gujarat II and Punjab III. Himachal Pradesh first in North East and Hill State categories, Uttarakhand. Second and Tripura remained in the third category. In the union territory, Delhi Jammu and Kashmir and Chandigarh stood first, second and third respectively.
The said awards will be presented at a later date.
He also responded to consumer-related questions from participants of RJS Family Positive Media.
RJS National Convenor Uday Kumar Manna said that in the webinar, the RJS Family paid a humble tribute to the Birth anniversary of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa(15march), and writer Ayodhya Singh Upadhyaya Hariaudh (March 16) and late Kunal Deep Singh journalist who lost his life in a road accident.
Shri Manna said that Hariyodh's work 'priya pravas' is the first epic of Hindi in Khadi Boli.
Late Kunal Deep Singh, a journalist from Bihar Bhojpur, died in a road accident on January 28. Last year he was awarded the RJS Star Award 2020 in new delhi.
In honor of late Kunal, RJS's Veer Kunwar Singh National Honor 2021 will be announced by his father Mr. Satyendra Singh ji at the 142nd RJS positive meeting, held on 21 March on Bihar Foundation Day, in Barap village.
In the past, the name of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was declared as RJS National Honor. Guest speaker at the webinar, Mr. Satyendra Singh, while appreciating the positive journalism of his son late Kunal, told the government that the death of the young journalist caused irreparable damage not only to the family but also to the district and the state.
