(RJS POSITIVE MEDIA) National Doctors’ Day is being celebrated on 1st July every year commemorating the birth and the death anniversary of visionary leader, social reformer, astute clinician and a great human being Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy. The 2nd Chief Minister of West Bengal was also a popular Clinician and Medical Educationalist. He was conferred with Bharat Ratna in 1961, one year before his death. The Govt. Of India has also instituted Dr. B.C. Roy National Award in 1973 which was being conferred by Hon’ble President of India every year. But since last 5 years the said Award is put on hold.
