 Tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, Makhanlal Chaturvedi, James Augustus Hickey and Lala Lajpat Rai in the nectar of freedom

 New Delhi.  Ram Janaki Sansthan, RJS organized the 120th meeting in the series of Azadi ki Amrit Gatha series of freedom through webinar to discuss the Union Budget 2023.  In the webinar organized in collaboration with the Consumer Online Foundation, the Chief Guest, renowned Chartered Accountant and Economist Dr. Sharad Kohli explained the nuances of the budget.  He told that ten percent of the population in India earns above twenty five thousand.  He expressed apprehension of recession in the world, but India will remain untouched by it.  

He told that fifty percent of the population is related to agriculture, so there is a need to pay attention to the people of agriculture sector.  Bijon Kumar Mishra, International Consumer Policy Expert and Founder Director of Consumer Online Foundation, took charge of the webinar.  

He operated efficiently.  Keynote speaker Manohar Manoj, editor of Economy India and author of economic topics, emphasized on empowering eighty crore people instead of free ration.  Well-known Pharmacist Prafulla D Seth welcomed the guests in the webinar and vote of thanks was given by Bina Jain, former president of All India Women's Conference.  About 60 participants from ten states and abroad also enthusiastically joined in this.

The successful coordination of the webinar was done by RJS National Convenor Uday Kumar Manna. In the webinar, Prof.  Ramaiya Muthiala insisted on provision of funds on rare diseases in the budget.  Dr. BR Jagga Shetty drew attention to the expenditure in the health sector under Health is Wealth.  He asked to spend on Ayurdik. He discussed spending eighty percent of the amount fixed in the budget.  Shashi Bhushan Sen raised the issue of gold jewelery artisans of West Bengal.  Mohammad Ishaq Khan said that pension should not be given to government employees but to all people.  Social security should be for all.

Rita Singhal said that health insurance should be compulsory.  Prof. Dr. Shakti Gupta emphasized on rationalizing the charges in Ayushman Yojana.  Sabir Ali, journalist asked to pay attention to health security of journalists in the budget.  At present, only accredited journalists get the facility.  He emphasized on providing social security to unrecognized and digital journalists.  Pratibha Dixit put forth the idea of ​​giving adequate funds to the NGO.  In the program, Simran Kaur sent video on Gandhiji, Dr.Munni Kumari, Makhan Lal Chaturvedi and Ashish Dwivedi on James Augustus Hickey. On 29th January, James Augustus Hickey was remembered for bringing out Hickey Gazette or Bengal Gazette, India's first English newspaper.  .  On behalf of the RJS family, Uday Manna paid tribute to the memory of freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai.
