नई दिल्ली में महत्वपूर्ण जी20 शिखर सम्मेलन की पहलों के दीर्घकालिक संरक्षण को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए, नई दिल्ली नगरपालिका परिषद (एनडीएमसी) ने एक समर्पित समिति बनाकर एक सक्रिय कदम उठाया है, यह जानकारी नई दिल्ली नगरपालिका परिषद के उपाध्यक्ष श्री सतीश उपाध्याय ने दी ।
इस सक्रिय पहल के तहत, श्री उपाध्याय ने बताया कि दक्षिण में स्थित 35 फव्वारे और उत्तर में 35 फव्वारे, जो मूल रूप से जी20 शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान शहर की सौंदर्य अपील को बढ़ाने के लिए स्थापित किए गए थे, अब दो अलग-अलग कार्यकारी इंजीनियरों की सतर्क देखभाल में हैं। इन इंजीनियरों को इन प्रतिष्ठित फव्वारों के उचित रखरखाव और कार्यक्षमता सुनिश्चित करने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है। एनडीएमसी ने नई दिल्ली के परिदृश्य की इन अभिन्न विशेषताओं को संरक्षित करने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि करते हुए, अपने अधिकार क्षेत्र में इन फव्वारों के लिए वार्षिक रखरखाव अनुबंध को भी नवीनीकृत किया है।
इसके अलावा, उन्होंने कहा कि एनडीएमसी ने जी20 सौंदर्यीकरण प्रयासों के हिस्से के रूप में रणनीतिक रूप से अपने अधिकार क्षेत्र में विभिन्न स्थानों पर 1 लाख से अधिक गमले वाले पौधे लगाए हैं। बागवानी विभाग द्वारा सावधानीपूर्वक देखभाल किए गए इन पौधों ने न केवल शहर की हरियाली को बढ़ाया है बल्कि इसके समग्र माहौल में भी महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है। श्री उपाध्याय ने बताया की इन पौधों को फिलहाल उनकी जगह से नहीं उठाया जाएगा और उनकी देखभाल के 30-35 सिक्यूरिटी गार्ड भी लगाए गए हैं।
श्री उपाध्याय ने यह भी बताया कि एनडीएमसी क्षेत्र में कुल 441 सीसीटीवी कैमरे स्थापित किए गए हैं और इन्हें कमांड और कंट्रोल सेंटर के माध्यम से एकीकृत किया गया है। ये सीसीटीवी कैमरे एनडीएमसी सेवाओं के सुचारू कामकाज के विभिन्न पहलुओं में सहायक हैं।

New Delhi, September 25, 2023 – In a bid to ensure the long-term preservation of the significant G20 Summit initiatives in New Delhi, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has taken a proactive step by forming a dedicated committee, it is informed by Shri Satish Upadhyay, Vice Chairman New Delhi Municipal Council.
Shri Upadhyay informed that under this proactive initiative, 35 fountains located in the South and 35 fountains in the North, originally installed to enhance the city's aesthetic appeal during the G20 Summit, are now under the vigilant care of two different Executive Engineers. These engineers have been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the proper maintenance and functionality of these iconic fountains. NDMC has also renewed the annual maintenance contract for these fountains within its jurisdiction, reaffirming its commitment to preserving these integral features of New Delhi's landscape.
Furthermore, NDMC has strategically placed more than 1 lakh potted plants throughout various locations in its jurisdiction as part of the G20 beautification efforts. These plants, meticulously tended to by the Horticulture Department, have not only augmented the city's greenery but have also significantly contributed to its overall ambiance. Shri Upadhyay said that these plants will not be taken from their place at present and 30-35 security guards have also been deployed to take care of them.
Shri Upadhyay also shared that a total of 441 CCTV cameras have been installed in the NDMC area and are integrated through the Command and Control Center. These CCTV cameras are instrumental in various aspects of NDMC services' smooth functioning.
To oversee and monitor all G20-related projects and initiatives, NDMC has established a High-Level Committee. This committee will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued maintenance and proper management of the works undertaken during the G20 Summit.
