“Gandhi@150--Life Enhancing Universal Values for World Peace” a conference is going to be held on 22 oct in Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, New Delhi. Dr. Karn Singh will inaugurate.

New Delhi: (RJS Positive Media) A conference themed: “Gandhi@150--Life Enhancing Universal Values for World Peace” is being organized on 22nd October by Temple of Understanding India Foundation in collaboration with Gandhi Bhavan, McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada; Dara Shikoh Centre for the Arts; Ram Janki Sansthan, as media partner, at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.  

The Conference would be inaugurated by Hon'ble Dr. Karan Singh, philosopher-statesman, former Union Minister and erstwhile Sadar-e-Riyasat of Jammu & Kashmir, who at the end of his inaugural speech would release a specially designed Poster and Scarf.  A replica of both these souvenirs would be presented to each of the participants and distinguished scholars.  

The focus of the deliberations would be on the precarious human condition in a world that is riven with serious political, social, economic and ecological crises.  Is there any chance of redressal? Gandhiji’s tried and tested ethical approach, based on satyagraha, ahimsa and the Socratic moral idea of self-examination, offers much hope. Speakers representing various religious communities as well as Gandhian organizations, would address present-day challenges and appeal to the whole world to turn to the ideals of Bapu. His life and services offer alternatives to the various detritus of the contemporary world. By embracing Gandhiji’s values and working across cultures and borders there is hope for a better, more peaceful future for all.
