AWARDS PRESENTED FOR EXCELLENCE IN DISPLAY
After attracting unprecedented number of visitors, the 26th edition of Delhi Book Fair,
Stationery and Office Automation Fair concluded successfully at Pragati Maidan, New
Delhi, today. India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) presented the Awards for
Excellence in Display to the participants at this five - days event.. Present on the occasion
were, Shri S.R. Sahoo, General Manager, Ms. Hema Maity, General Manager, Shri Vikash
Kumar Singh, General Manager and Shri Rajesh Mittal, President, Federation of Indian
Publishers (FIP).
The Awards were mainly presented in different categories comprising Government Sector
and Private Sector. In Government category, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting,
Govt. of India bagged the Gold trophy, National Council of Educational Research and
Training the Silver and Sahitya Akademi won the Bronze trophy while Indira Gandhi
National Open University and Urdu Akademi was honoured with special appreciation.
In the Private category, Rupa Publications India Pvt. Ltd. won the Gold, Prints Publicatons
Pvt. Ltd. Silver and APC Books Bronze trophies. Kohli Book Distributors received the
Special Appreciation.
Awards were also given away for the Excellence in display in the Stationery & Office
Automation Fair. Doms Industries Pvt. Ltd., Filex Systems Pvt. Ltd. and Hobby Craft
were honoured with the Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies respectively. Venus File Products
was excellence in display.
Complimenting the Award winners in his key note address, Mrs. Hema Maity, General
Manager, ITPO, indicated that although the fair was organized little later but was a great
success. She also assured that after seeing the great response from the visitors, next year
the fair might be organized on a larger scale.
Shri Rajesh Mittal, President, FIP also complimented ITPO for holding the show with a
successful note. The fair had good media coverage and lots of visitors especially students
came to the fair to enjoy reading and buying books. He also suggested the theme for the
next event as “G-20” so that the books of those countries associated with G-20 could be
displayed in the theme area. Further he mentioned that FIP has been associated with ITPO
from the last 28 years and will celebrate its 50th anniversary of its inception in 2023. The ‘vote of thanks’ was proposed by Shri Vikash Kumar Singh.
