We have been organizing the Perfect Health Mela for almost three decades now as a means to raise preventive health awareness using infotainment as the medium. We are extremely happy to say that we covered over 3000 students in various inter-college and school competitions in the categories of dance, yoga, painting, debate, singing, reels and quiz, among others over the past 30 days. We hope to keep Dr KK Aggarwal’s legacy alive by continuing all the good work that he started”.

Adding to this, Naina Aggarwal Ahuja, Trustee, Dr KK’s Heart Care Foundation of India said, “Unlike previous years, we organized the 29th edition of the Perfect Health Mela a little differently. We partnered with two nursing colleges and 6 schools as co-hosts and took the inter-college and school competitions to their campuses. This enabled us to cover a larger base and host activities over a 30-day period. We thank our Co-Hosts and all participating students, teachers and principals for believing in us and helping us keep Dr KK Aggarwal’s legacy alive. We will be back next year with a bigger and better 30th Perfect Health mela.

The Mela activities began on the 21st of November with over 25 medical and nursing colleges and 2000 students participating in various activities spread over two days at an inter-college event held at Jamia Hamdard. The event was organised in association with Prof. (Dr.) Manju Chhugani, Dean, School of Nursing Sciences and Allied Health, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi and Mrs Archana, Principal, Tirath Ram Shah Hospital. This was followed by the inter-school zonal competitions up to 10th December culminating in the finale event on December 17th. The theme for this year’s mela was “One Health”, which acknowledges that the health of people, plants, animals, and the environment are interlinked, a fact that has been emphatically brought home to us by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The 30th edition of the Perfect Health Mela will be held in the second half of the year in 2023.
