RJS PBH'S National Webinar organised on How having a positive of life can help seniors lead a better life on the occasion of Senior Citizens Day 2023.
Today' s *national Webinar* was focused on _"How having a positive of life can help seniors lead a better life_ ". The webinar was hosted by Ch.Indraj Singh Saini, Patron, All India Saini Seva Samaj, Delhi. Yogi Kavi Acharya Prem Bhatia, Founder-Director, Vishwa Bharti Yog Sansthan, Delhi graced the Webinar as Chief Guest. Ms Saroj Garg, Writer- Poet, Nagpur, Maharashtra, was keynote Speaker. After the opening remarks of Shri K.K. Mishra, Former Director, Rajya Sabha Sectt, all set forth their views on the issue under discussion. On behalf of RJSIANS He paid tribute to late Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak.
The webinar was conducted by the founder of RJS PBH uday manna. There was consensus on the point that old age is a challenge to seniors from medical, economic, psychological or social angles. They may experience isolation, neglect at the hands of offspring, and fall into depression. However, this is also true that their experience can be put to better use in giving direction to the youth of the country. The youth need to learn from the seniors who also have to keep up their good spirits for endearing themselves to the younger generation.
The joint family system was also praised for taking care of thenational Webinar seniors, a system which has mostly become obsolete in modern times when family members live apart from one another in different cities, or even abroad due to exigecies of livelihood. It was also felt that the aurhorities should do more for the seniors because there is difference between any provisions for the elderly and the ground reality, which shows that there is definite neglect of the people in old age, and old age homes are proliferating. RJS PBH, on its part, would like to utilise the diverse experience of seniors by empaneling them for PBH for programmes, especially giving direction to the youth of the country. In this way, seniors will feel needed by society which will benefit by the experience and wisdom of seniors.
