Workshop on capacity building of physicians on salt reduction and low sodium salt Substitutes was organised at DMA hall,New Delhi
New Delhi. Delhi Medical Association (DMA) in association with sapiens health foundation network organised a workshop on capacity building of physician on salt reduction and low sodium salt substitute on Sunday 27th April 2025 at DMA Hall, Daryaganj New Delhi.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. V.K. Paul member Niti Aayog ,Government of India as the chief guest along with Dr. Rajeev Sood vice chancellor Baba Farid University of health sciences (BFUHS) and dr. Atul Goyal director General of health services (DGHS) Government of India.
More than 140 delegate attended the workshop, eminent speakers including dr. Vijay Kher, dr. Umesh Khanna ,dr. Manika Sharma, Dr. Bharat Shah Dr. Ajay Kher and others enlightened the delegates with their knowledge and experience on key topics like salt and health modifiable risk factors strategies for Salt reduction and low sodium salt substitutes .A lovely panel discussion was also held moderated by Dr Girish Tyagi and Dr. Vijay Kher which added Great value to the program through and interactive exchange of ideas and experience the program was supported by kidney support network, lo salter and resolve to save lives.
Dr Girish Tyagi president DNA told that this workshop aims to build physician capacity in promoting salt reduction among the public, contributing to better National health outcomes risk of high sodium intake and linked with kidney diseases and hypertension was discussed. There is a scope of low sodium salt substitute.
